My Honest Test of At-Home Lash Extension Kits. Check Out My Ranking of the Best Cluster Lashes

My Review of Cluster Lashes

I have to admit that my natural eyelashes are truly tragic. After I started to get bored with applying regular cluster lashes, I decided to test DIY lash extensions. While watching the reels on IG and TikTok, I noticed that they seem to be extremely easy to apply. I was curious to see if I could manage them too, so I decided to give them a try. That’s how I came up with a ranking of the 5 best sets for eyelash extensions at home. Are you curious which one turned out to be the best?

DIY lash extensions are applied to the underside of the natural lashes, which gives a very natural effect. You can buy them in drugstores, but the online selection is much wider. For me, it was a complete innovation – I have never used them before. That’s why I decided to create a ranking of eyelash extension kits, aimed primarily at newcomers to this subject.

Choosing only 5 products was difficult, but I didn’t want to buy too many at once, especially since some of them were really expensive. I decided to test the most popular brands I had heard of before. The condition for a kit to be included in the ranking was that it had to include an applicator, an adhesive, and a protective product.

As I dug deeper into the subject, I discovered that some brands, like Nanolash, include a remover in their kits, which makes it much easier to remove the false lashes safely. I can already tell that this is a very useful accessory.

Eyelash extension kit for beginners – ranking of 5 popular products

My ranking included kits for beginners from Nanolash, Kiss, Lashify, Tatti Lashes, and Glamnetic. I tested them in terms of the number of cluster lashes, the content of the kits, application time, and durability. Each of these aspects was important to me, and below you’ll find my detailed reviews of all of these products.

Read on, as I discuss all the key elements and share my insights!

1. Nanolash DIY Eyelash Extensions Starter Kit

DIY Eyelash Extensions Starter Kit nanolash

When I decided to test the Nanolash DIY Eyelash Extensions Starter Kit, I was impressed by how complete the kit is. It contains 36 cluster lashes in three lengths (10, 12, and 14 mm), as well as a bonder, a sealer (5 ml each), an applicator, and a remover (5 ml). It’s really a full kit that includes everything you need to apply the lashes by yourself. A big plus for the fact that there is nothing missing.

What surprised me positively was the aesthetic and functional layout of all the items in the kit. Each product was labeled precisely, which made my job much easier, especially since this was my first attempt at applying eyelash extensions on my own. As a beginner, I appreciated it greatly.

The cluster lashes from Nanolash turned out to be very soft and looked beautiful on the eyes. The applicator was comfortable to use and the glue had the perfect consistency, which made the application process take less than 10 minutes. This is a really fast and convenient way to achieve a professional effect at home.

Another advantage is that the kit lasted for four full applications, which is really efficient. However, I was most impressed by the durability of these lashes – they lasted for 8 days on my eyes! That’s really impressive and makes them one of the most long-lasting lashes I’ve had the chance to try.

All in all, the Nanolash DIY Eyelash Extensions Starter Kit is a product that not only meets, but exceeds expectations. If you are looking for a kit that is complete, easy to use, and provides long-lasting results, this set is definitely worth the price.

2. KISS Falscara Starter Kit

The KISS Falscara Starter Kit is one of those sets that are easily available, even at regular drugstores, which is a big plus. Unfortunately, it also has a serious drawback – it contains just 10 cluster lashes, which may not be enough if you plan to apply them regularly.

The kit includes only two formulas: BOND and SEAL, and its price is similar to more complete kits, which disappointed me a bit. Nevertheless, I have to admit that the lashes looked quite nice, and the application went smoothly.

The manufacturer assures that these lashes can be worn for up to 10 days without a break, which sounds great. What’s more, they are reusable – theoretically you can apply them up to three times. But here comes a condition: in order for the lashes to last that long and be reusable, you need to protect them overnight with a special OVERNIGHTER Long Wear Sealer.

And here comes another problem – this product is not included in the starter kit, which means you have to buy it separately. This is an additional expense and it’s worth keeping it in mind before you purchase the kit.

3. Glamnetic Lash Extension Kit

The Glamnetic Lash Extension Kit includes cluster lashes and basic products like Bonder, Sealer, and an applicator, but also Remover, which made it much easier for me to remove the lash clusters later. In addition, the cluster lashes are available in many styles, which gives you some freedom of choice.

Unfortunately, the lashes don’t look as good in person as they do in photos online. When I put them on for the first time, I felt a bit disappointed – although the finished look wasn’t that bad, I had the feeling that something was wrong.

For this reason, although the manufacturer declares that the lashes can last up to 5 days, I decided to take them off after just 2 days. I was just too uncomfortable to wear them longer. Unfortunately, I’m not satisfied with this set and can’t recommend it. If you want to achieve a really good result, I would suggest considering other options.

4. Tatti Lashes Invisi-Lash Kit

Tatti Lashes Invisi-Lash Kit is the next lash extension kit in my ranking, and its price is comparable to most products of this kind on the market. What’s worth noting is that this kit can last for several lash styles, it’s enough for 4 to 8 applications. I have already used it three times, and I still have plenty of the lashes left.

The brand provides 7 different styles of cluster lashes to choose from, which is a big plus. The kit also includes an applicator, a brush, Invisi-Lash Bond, and Seal Glue. As for the application method and durability, I’m quite satisfied – the process of applying the lashes is quite simple, and the effect lasts for several days. Still, this kit did not impress me that much, and wouldn’t buy it again. While it does its job, it didn’t dazzle me enough to make me want to stay with it for the long term.

5. Lashify Starter Kit

When I mentioned that some do-it-yourself lash-styling kits are very expensive, I was primarily referring to the Lashify Starter Kit. It cost me much more than the other kits I tested in this ranking. Unfortunately, the higher price is not matched by the amount of products in the kit. The Lashify Starter Kit contains only 10 cluster lashes, which was enough for just a single lash look.

However, there’s no denying that this is a professional eyelash extension kit, and its quality is really high. The lashes are light as a feather and soft, which makes them look sensational on the eyes. Applying these cluster lashes went very smoothly, and the effect was really satisfactory, which made my overall impression positive.

Nevertheless, I have to admit that the cluster lashes from the Nanolash brand provide comparable quality for a much lower price. In the case of Lashify, I unfortunately felt that I had overpaid.

Lash extension kit test summary – which one impressed me the most?

After testing several lash extension kits and carefully analyzing their advantages and disadvantages, I can safely say that I was most impressed by the product from Nanolash. DIY Eyelash Extensions Starter Kit met my expectations in every aspect and became my definite favorite. I can recommend it with full confidence.

What makes this kit stand out? Nanolash has taken care of every detail. The kit contains cluster lashes in different lengths, a bonder, a sealer, an applicator, and a remover, which makes it complete and very easy to use. Applying these cluster lashes was quick, and the final result was natural and long-lasting. The lashes stayed in place for several days, meaning I didn’t have to worry about any touch-ups.

Although I was satisfied with most of the kits I tested, the results achieved were not always what I expected. The remover, which I consider indispensable for a smooth application and removing lashes, was often not included in the kit.

I’m curious if you also plan to test any lash extension starter kits. Or have you already found your favorite? Is it also the kit from Nanolash? Let me know in the comments and tell me about your experiencex and which product you liked best.
