How do you care for your nails? Do you use any conditioners or oils?
If not, it’s high time you started. This post is dedicated to – in my opinion – the best nail conditioners. Both natural strengtheners and ready-made products from the beauty store.
THE BEST NATURAL NAIL CONDITIONERS
The first three products are a great treat for fans of natural beauty solutions: my favorite, tried and trusted nail-care oils. 100% natural so anyone can go for one.
● Castor Oil
I guess I don’t need to introduce this oil to anyone. Quite thick oil extracted from castor bean plants is mostly used for stimulating faster growth of hair, lashes and brows. It is also a powerful nail conditioner because it strengthens the nails, hardens the plate, reducing its breakage and splitting, but also gives lovely gloss. You just need to rub the oil into the nails every day (I do before bedtime), and obviously choose the highest-quality oil, e.g. Nanoil Castor Oil that I use and recommend.
● Shea Butter
Shea butter works great too and I love it for the amazing effect on the skin. I usually put it on the hands instead of a lotion and I noticed my nails got stronger. Of course, you need to find unrefined and cold-pressed shea butter. Don’t worry about the texture: it melts when you spread it on the skin and takes a few seconds to penetrate it, leaving it silky.
● Argan Oil
Obviously, argan oil which seems to be women’s top pick, can be a natural nail conditioner, too. Even more so if you choose a quality one like argan oil from Nanoil (it’s cold-pressed, unrefined, organic). It isn’t as intensive a growth booster as castor oil but it perfectly repairs, strengthens and makes nails shine. After every use, the nails gradually get more elastic, looking healthy and lovely. Rubbing 2 or 3 drops of argan oil every day is all it takes.
THE BEST NAIL CONDITIONERS FROM THE STORE
The other way of enhancing the nails involves using products you can find at the stores. We are spoilt for choice. I’ve picked the best nail conditioners worth trying.
● OPI PRO SPA Nail & Cuticle Oil
It’s available online. This oil-conditioner isn’t cheap but it’s worth the price because the formula is based on 5 natural oils: avocado, grapeseed, sunflower, sesame and kukui. Thanks to such components, it brilliantly nourishes, strengthens and protects nails against external aggressors. The tiny bottle holds some miracle-working oil-conditioner and a dropper which lets you apply the product easily.
● Mokosh Cranberry Nail Elixir
Mokosh is a brand worth noting as it uses only top-quality natural oils and plant extracts in their products. I recommend the nourishing nail elixir rich in cranberry and vitamin E (strong antiaging antioxidant). Cranberry comes in the form of oil and it’s combined with three other oils: argan, wheat and carrot seed oils. In turn, Mokosh conditioner brilliantly nourishes the nails, brings long-lasting hydration, leaves them smooth and resilient. This is a repair product worth trying.
