It’s time for a little rundown. Today we’re talking brow gels – and not just any brow gels. Especially for you, I have prepared the ranking of my favorite brow gels, which leave the rest far behind 🙂 Are you curious about which brow gels made it to the top 3? If so, let’s get started!
A good brow gel – my makeup essential
A good brow gel is an absolute must-have in my makeup bag. I use it practically every day, including days when I don’t need to do a bolder brow look. With a few brush strokes, my eyebrows immediately become thicker and nicely shaped. Everything takes literally a few seconds. That’s what I love brow gel for, and I can’t imagine doing my makeup without it.
Which brow gel to choose?
There are a whole bunch of different brow gels available on the beauty market nowadays. Transparent, tinted, volume-enhancing, or providing a laminating effect. The decision of whether a particular gel is noteworthy for me depends on several factors. These include the long-wear effect, the type of wand, the formula, the consistency, and the comfort of the application. To make sure that the product will never let me down and that my brow makeup will last all day, I rely on high-end brow gels.
Meet my top 3 favorite brow gels!
➜ Nanobrow Lamination Gel
The Lamination Gel from Nanobrow is my beauty sensation. I discovered it by accident when I was buying a brow serum by the same brand (also highly recommended!). I was curious about the laminated brow effect it promised, as I’ve always wanted to try the treatment on my eyebrows. Now I no longer need it 🙂 The Nanobrow brow gel made my friends ask who gave me such a lovely-looking lamination treatment but I owe this effect to the Nanobrow gel!
The waterproof formula can survive basically anything: rain, sweat, and smudging. This doesn’t mean it leaves your brow hairs feeling hair is hard or stiff. The formula with castor oil maintains the proper hydration of the brows and gives them a subtle shine. The lightweight water-based consistency coats each brow hair easily and sets them quickly, ensuring the perfect brow shape. The small silicone spoolie reaches every hair, even the shortest ones, adding volume. Straight after applying the gel, my brows become soft and manageable. Then I just comb them upwards and get the volume simply out of this world. I’ve never had such fluffy brows before 🙂 This is my beloved brow gel and a definite number 1!
The gel is available in 3 shades, plus there’s a transparent version too.
➜ Glossier Boy Brow
Number 2 is the iconic Boy Brow gel by Glossier. I love its tiny spoolie and simple design. The ingredients are really noteworthy: it contains beeswax, Carnauba wax, oleic acid, and lecithin – collagen derivative. With Glossier, I have the confidence that despite daily makeup, my eyebrows remain in great condition. Because the formula contains two types of wax, it’s a bit heavier and doesn’t set completely. This may be a downside for some, but I personally like the effect. It leaves brow hairs looking slightly shiny, healthy, and moisturized. Inspired by the classic brow pomade, Glossier’s brow gel shapes the brows in one stroke. Thanks to its waxy texture, it doesn’t make them stiff and doesn’t flake off or form any clumps on the brows. The brows become naturally beautiful.
The gel is available in 4 shades, plus there’s a transparent version too.
➜ Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel
Last but not least, place 3. This brow gel from Anastasia Beverly Hills has an ultra-lightweight formula that’s clump-free. The clear gel is great for a quick everyday no-makeup look. Enriched with chamomile extract, it conditions eyebrows while delivering flawless makeup. It comes with a quite large cone-shaped spoolie, which may not appeal to owners of very sparse eyebrows. However, it works well for me, even though my arches are far from thick. The product copes well even in extreme weather conditions. It can survive even heavy rain or a big night out. The transparent brow gel from ABH is a product for everyone – no exceptions! It makes even very subtle makeup impress with its wow factor.
Interestingly, the producer also promises the gel works wonders for taming your baby hair, growing along the forehead line. Personally, I haven’t tried this method yet but let me know in the comments what you think about it.
Okay, you’ve already met my favorites 🙂 Which brow gel do you feel like testing out?
