Hey, today I’m ranking the mascaras that work best on my lashes. I guess you probably have seen thousands of mascara reviews and rankings on the Internet. You may have even bought some products from the top which then proved a failure…
Well, I’m not ranking the products to promote a specific brand. I’m not writing a sponsored article, don’t worry. I’m not going to hide any flaws of a reviewed product. I picked out a few out of thousands available mascaras. Why? Because I think they’re worth testing. Guys, you can fully trust my reviews!
5 Mascaras That Haven’t Let Me Down
I have rather sparse and short eyelashes, and I mention that because I think it’s essential to keep the roundup reliable and honest. Obviously, the reviewed products may produce different effects on thick and long lashes.

#1 Nanolash Mascara
Any ranking starts with the best product on top and it’s the same in my roundup. The Nanolash mascara is definitely my favorite. I have no doubts this is a top quality product.
As soon as I glided the brush across the lashes for the first time, the product was evenly distributed, also on the shortest lashes, and there were no clumps. I guess the ideally-shaped, silicone brush takes credit for such effects.
On top of that, the Nanolash Mascara is extremely long-wearing. I never spotted any flakes, or worse, smudging. I also love it that I didn’t go to work with the “panda eyes” and smudges on a rainy day!

Obviously you can get the one that suits you best, which is one of the greatest things about the product. I bought the thickening mascara for fuller, more voluminous lashes.
#2 Lashcode Mascara
The Lashcode Mascara is another product that I really enjoyed testing. Another mascara that seems flawless. First I must mention the superb brush that has the perfect shape. Applying the mascara on the corner lashes is trouble-free and the product doesn’t get on the eyelids.
Staying put for long hours is another thing I love about the Lashcode mascara. Can you imagine that I applied the mascara early in the morning, then looked in the mirror late before sleep and there weren’t any flakes! The lashes looked neat and fresh. All in all, there’s nothing to pick on.
#3 Clarins Be Long Mascara
The Clarins Be Long Mascara is another mascara that I tested. It isn’t bad but it will never measure up to my Nanolash Mascara. I definitely like the brush; slightly curved, it applies the product on short lashes easily.
On the other hand, how long this mascara stays put is a big flaw. I quickly noticed that it simply ran down on hot days. To make things worse, the mascara would get on eyelids at the end of the day.
#4 Maybelline Great Lash Mascara
The Maybelline Great Lash Mascara is quite popular but I’ve seen mixed feelings about this one. It’s okay for some and not so good for others. I decided to try it on my lashes. What’s the result?
The mascara from Maybelline does lengthen the lashes, however, after a few hours of wear, there’s lots of flaking so the lash look is ruined. Maybe it’s because of applying two coats? On the other hand, it comes with a well-shaped brush.
#5 Chanel Le Volume Mascara
I pinned great hopes on the Chanel Le Volume Mascara. Obviously, the brand name makes us expect more from a product. Sadly, testing this mascara ended in slight disappointment.
However, let me share the good sides first. It definitely works great for curling and lengthening. It also comes with a good brush for precise lash separation without clumping. On the other hand, the mascara is too watery and takes too long to dry, plus it tends to flake after a few hours.
